This is a highly desirable and lovely mold with it's twisted handles and ornate rim. The artist has signed on the bottom - Mueller. This may be Christina Mueller, a contemporary of Pickard, Stouffer, Brauer & Donath, who had a Chicago studio between 1916-1917. The artist has painted a very vibrant and lovely Bearded Iris in rich shades of purples. The flower makes it's own statement with it's beautiful form and wavy, undulating leaves. The twisted handles and upper rim are painted in rich gold.
The vase stands almost 9" tall - a size that I really like.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines.
Many of this mold are unmarked, as is this one - I believe it to be unmarked Limoges. Early 1900's.
