This very vibrant and eye popping Limoges tray is initialed by the artist and dated on the back - F.A.W. - 1888. The artist has painted huge long stemmed yellow roses bending over so you can see them from the back of the flower. They are shown with the lovely leaves and unopened buds. This is a very different looking tray - it immediately catches the eye. The artist has added a very wide border of gold with the gold sponging downward.
The tray measures 13 1/4" from handle to handle.
It is in very good condition with no cracks or hairlines. There is a very minute nick at the tip of the end of the handle which I tried to show on the last picture. There is also age related scratching to the gold; nevertheless, it gleams with vibrant beauty.
It is marked with Pouyat mark 3. 1888
