This is quite an impressive Vienna Austria floor vase. This is the exact same blank as the Limoges vase of this shape. This beauty is lavishly painted with pristine white roses with their pink edgings, surrounded by leaves and thick stems. The roses and foliage cover most of the surface of this heavy, tall vase. I love the colors of the flowers against the soft, pale slate blue background. The effect is cool and regal. This is an extremely handsome mold with it's ornate twisted handles and rococo edge. Both are painted in thick gold. This is a vase that makes a statement in any collection.
The vase stands 15 1/2" tall with a base diameter of 6 3/4". It is big and it is heavy.
It is in outstanding condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines and virtually no wear for a piece this old.
It is marked with Vienna Austria - circa 1905 and after.
