This is a fabulous Limoges Ewer; tall and stately and very grand. It is lavishly painted with white, burgundy, pink and yellow roses. They cascade down the body of the vase, circling over the top of the body to the other side and cascading down that side also. The roses are shown with their leaves and vines and painted against a very richly colored body with hues of teal, green, sienna & amber. This is a fantastic blank with it's irregular upper rim and tall swooped handle. What a beauty this is - it would make a statement in any fine collection or porcelain.
The Ewer/Vase stands 16 1/4" tall and about 6 1/4" across it's widest width.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. The colors are fabulous, the painting is rich and dramatic.
It is marked with Pouyat mark 5, 1893 and after.
