This delightfully whimsical porcelain teapot, with an angel wing for a handle, green and golden eyes in a linked diamond row around the bottom and a crescent moon adorning the lid is one of my cherished treasures. It is in very good condition with only a faint horizontal 1/2" long scratch in the blue at the bottom, pictured. There are no mends, chips that I can detect, the lid rim is intact, and I estimate it to be from the 1980s though I have researched it and not found another. It reads "les ailes du Temps, les yeux de toi, le coeur attend." Translated: The wings of Time, your eyes, the heart waits." It is signed JC de Castelbajac on the bottom, with the words Porcelaine, and the Limoges stamp, words 1737 Ancienne Manufacture Royale, LIMOGES, FRANCE in blue
H. 7 3/8" to top of Lid , Width 9.5" from tip of spout to wing tip. Diameter 4.3/4" at widest point
