An antique vanity dresser set consisting of a tall stoppered bottle with hair receiver and covered jar. The rare aspect of this set is that it has a Christmas theme to the hand painting. We see holly and red berries decorating each piece including lids and bottle stopper. The molded scrolling has a bit of gold still on it.
We would place this set in the last quarter of the 19th century for a manufacturing time period. We cannot tell you the exact maker but there were many factories during that time that made this kind of dresser set for the lady's boudoir.
The bottle stands approximately 9 inches to the top of the stopper. The hair receiver and jar measure 3 inches across the tops. We find some gold paint smudging on the neck of the bottle. You may be able to use a soft nylon brush to remove this if you deem it necessary.
