An Art Deco porcelain service charger that shows a intricate embossed platinum rim with fine detailing of daisies, leaves, and scrolls. The decorative rim on this platter really catches the eye with the thick layer of platinum paint that is used. The under rim shows a fine line of platinum as well.
Hallmarked by the Pickard Stouffer studios in a circle tells us that this was decorated c. 1930. Pickard as well as other decorating studios often imported porcelain blanks. This particular blank was manufactured in Bavaria and imported into the U.S.
Measuring a large 11 inches in diameter we find this in outstanding condition without any wear or scratches to the surface. This would be perfect for dining or to use underneath a centerpiece for your table setting.
