An antique porcelain cabinet plate that is decorated with colorful and highly detailed transfer of chrysanthemum flowers. The flowers congregate on one side of the plate with one lone flower on the opposite side. The hand painted scalloped rim is painted with a thick decoration of gold showing insets that point toward the center of the plate.
We see two A. Lanternier marks on the back which help us date this lovely plate to c. 1891. What a fabulous find!
Measuring 8 3/4 inches in diameter we find just a bit of gold wear to the rim but nothing that is alarming or extreme. Most likely from gentle cleaning over the years.
