An antique Victorian chocolate pot that features a ruffled pouring spout and rose finial. The detail on this is extravagant from the dainty floral decoration to the fancy applied handle and gold trim. There is a pour guard on the interior to catch any debris from your beverage.
Hallmarked with Carlsbad Austria which gives us the country of origin. The other mark is from W.H. Glenny & Company which was one of the largest import companies in the country in the late 1800s. Their business was based in Buffalo, New York and in 1891 they opened a retail store in Rochester, New York.
Measuring 9 inches tall to top of lid we do not find any damage to this lovely pot. Even the gold trim is very much intact. Truly amazing for such an old piece and very indicative of the lavish decor of the Victorian era.
