An antique porcelain cake plate set that features pink roses in different stages of bloom. The decoration is enhanced by hand painted white enameling on the rose petals. Although we do not see an attribution to the artist for the rose decoration we attribute them to Catherine Klein. The rims are lined with gold that is showing a bit of age related wear.
The blue Hermann Ohme factory mark helps us date to c. 1912. All pieces are in the Alice mold.
The cake plate measures 10 inches from handle to handle and the coupe plates measure just over 6 inches. Except for the gold wear noted above, we did not find any damage. A gorgeous antique set for serving or display.
