A vintage glass pedestal brides bowl compote featuring a stair step design on lid and base. There is a beautiful faceted finial on the lid. The rim of lid and bottom of bowl have tear drops for a design. The hand painted cranberry areas are highlighted with a gold iridescent hue and the edges are lined with gold.
The signature of the artist can be found on the bottom and reads K. Henderson 1976. The signature is the same cranberry color as the bowl itself telling us that the cranberry and gold were applied by hand. We are attributing the manufacturer to the Westmoreland Glass Co. who went out of business in 1984.
Measuring 10 inches tall with 5 inches square opening across the bowl. There is a tiny bite out of one end on the pedestal towards the bottom as pictured. It is very hard to see and does not deter from the beauty of this piece in the least.
