A sweet, antique cup featuring tiny pink roses. This is a small size tells us that this was a chocolate cup which was typically served first thing in the morning. There is a matching saucer with the cup having a fancy Victorian mold. The cup has light gold accents on the scalloped rim and handle.
The stylized HO mark on the bottoms tell us that this was made by the Hermann Ohme factory. This particular mark dates this to c. 1888-1902. Based on the mold design we would say it is the earlier period of that time frame.
The tiny cup measures 2 1/4 tall and the saucer measures 4 inches in diameter. We see a line in the bottom of the cup which is under the glaze. Most likely done during manufacturing. We do not see this on the interior of the cup.
