An antique porcelain canister that features pale pink roses scattered on base and lid. The decoration is a transfer print that includes green leaves and purple lilacs. The mold shows fancy swirled rims on both lid and canister base with just a speckling of gold. This was possibly used as a tobacco jar.
Hallmarked with the R/C mark of the Rosenthal Porcelain factory and also the mold name of St. Cloud. The St. Cloud production line was manufactured in the Selb factory and dates to c. 1902.
Measures 6 1/4 inches wide and stands 5 1/2 inches tall with the circumference at 18 inches. We find some small bites out of the interior rim where the lid sits. There is not other damage to report. We have priced accordingly due to this slight damage.
