An antique silver plate mustache tea cup featuring an Art Nouveau chased design. These were used specifically for the gentleman at tea time to guard their mustaches from getting wet. We see initials engraved on one side in old script. Just under the initials we see Dec. 25, 91 which tells us this was a very special Christmas gift. This has an attached saucer.
The hallmarked found on the bottom is by Barbour Bros. Co. and by the engraving it gives us a time frame of c. 1890s.
The cup has a 3 3/4 inch opening and is 2 3/4 inches tall. The saucer measures 5 3/4 inches in diameter. We see some age related marks but for how old this is and how it presents, we would give it an 8 out of 10 for condition.
