A vintage porcelain portrait ewer featuring a very fancy shell mold design and a pretty pearlized glaze. The portrait area is smooth and shows a lovely dark haired woman framed by a thin line of gold.
This miniature measures 4.5 inches tall x 2.5 inches wide. The smaller vases were used to show a sample of larger items that the factory sold. Typically they were carried in a case by the salesman. This one is in very fine condition without damage. The smaller items are hard to find since they were handled so much and were often broken.
The hallmark is from the Victoria Porcelain Factory with Czech-slovakia under the name. This dates the ewer c. 1918-1920.
