A vintage porcelain cracker jar featuring with poppy and hydrangea flowers on one side. The other side of jar features yellow and brown roses. This decoration is referred to as scattered flowers. We find dainty molded feet on the bottom. The finish is a pearly glaze with green highlights.
The RS Prussia hallmark is their green Germany mark. This helps us date somewhere around 1915; possibly a bit earlier.
Measuring 5 1/2 inches high to the top of the lid and 9 inches wide we find there is slight age related wear to the transfer decoration but no damage to porcelain. The mold design is a transition from the more ornate Victorian molds and very lovely in a more simplistic manner.
