An porcelain tankard featuring a dark green background fading to yellow at the bottom. Against the gradient background we find large dark pink heirloom roses wrapping around the body. The rim and handle have been decorated with gold as well as the very base rim. You'll see age related gold wear to these areas but nothing detrimental and this could easily be re-gilded.
Manufactured by the Oscar and Edgar Gutherz Porcelain Factory and bearing their mark on the bottom helps us date this to c. 1900. You'll see a signature of Martin just under the roses. This was one of the factory's professional painters.
Total height measures just over 13 inches with the long skinny design making it perfect for wine or champagne. We do not find a bit of damage to the porcelain. This is a beautiful antique piece.
