An antique cased glass small bowl featuring a elaborate ruffled rim. We think this may have been used as a candy or sweetmeat dish. It has pretty hand painted berries on the interior opalescent glass. The very edge of the rim is a dark blue transparent glass.
This is hand blown as you can see from the polished pontil on the base. We do not quite know which glass house did this, perhaps European. We would place it in the last decade of the 19th Century.
Measuring 6 1/2 inches in dieamtioner and approximately 2 inches high. We find no damage. It is in exquisite condition.
