Vintage spoons featuring Mr. Peanut on the handle. Each spoon shows some nice detail. Notice the peanuts under Mr. Peanut's feet that trail down to the bowl of the spoon on the gold one. The bowl itself is reticulated in the center and is completely round. The back of the handle shows Mr. Peanut from behind. The blue spoon has Mr. Peanut on the handle is has a more plain design.
He is the mascot for the Planter's Peanut Company which made its debut in 1918 in The Saturday Evening Post. This is a great item and we hope a Mr. Peanut collector enjoys this as much as we have.
This gold spoon measures 5.25 inches long and the blue measures 5.75 inches long. The gold shows some age patina but there is no damage to either piece.
