An antique porcelain serving bowl that features stylized pink roses complete with stems and leaves. The roses look like they should be put in a vase the detail is so fine. The mold is decorative at the rim with hand painted coin gold trim.
The Rosenthal mark includes the mold name Alice which was manufactured in their Selb Bavaria factory and helps us date this to c. 1901.
Measuring 10.25 inches in diameter and almost 3 inches deep, we find just a bit of gold wear to the rim and a few tiny spots of wear to the transfer. This does not show scratching which would indicate normal use. The wear is probably from cleaning. A early example of Rosenthal in wonderful antique condition.
