An antique porcelain tray featuring tiny rose transfers that have been hand enameled. The rim shows a beaded mold design with cut out handles at both ends. The area inside the rim is a pale cream colored background. As you can see the handles are decorated with thick gold. The center of the tray has been decorated to match with a gold enameled frame against a white background.
Hallmarks are the AK Limoges mark which tells us that this was manufactured and decorated by A. Klingenberg in France and helps us date this to c. 1900.
Measuring 16 inches long and 9 inches at the widest point in the center. We find one tiny ding on one handle approximately 5 millimeters in length which is covered with gold. We believe this may have happened during the manufacturing or decorating process and does not deter from the tray in the least. We see a smidgen of wear to the decoration but overall, this is a stunning piece.
