A vintage porcelain charger plate that features layers of tapestry gold. The outer rim shows an ivory background decorated with rose filled baskets. The inner most area of the charger is white which is then bordered by a very thick band of gold with a tapestry design. The rim shows gold detaining and when you turn the charger over, the base rim is also finished with a layer of gold.
The hallmarks tell us that the blank was manufactured by Heinrich & Co. in Bavaria and the decorating was done by a Pickard porcelain artist. The artist has signed and dated Florence Soliss Unger, 1930.
Measuring 11 inches in diameter we find minimal wear and absolutely no damage. There are six matching chargers. If you would like all six, we will discount the price to $200 each.
