An antique glass bowl featuring a hobstar and fan pattern. The pattern is decorated with etched feathering around each hobstar and an etched star in the center. In between the hobstars we see a deep cut inverted fan design. At the top of the bowl is deep cut almond shapes. The rim is decorated with scallops and points.
Manufacturer is unknown to us at this time but we would place this in the early part of the 20th century. This is a heavy piece with wonderful clarity and weighted bottom reminding us of a lady's bonnet.
Measuring just shy of 9 inches in diameter at top of bowl, the bottom is 5 inches in width at widest point and depth just over 5 inches. There is one area that looks like a gouge which our camera could not focus on. This may have been done in manufacturing. We had to inspect carefully about three times before we noticed it. It does not effect quality in the least and we have priced accordingly.
