Vintage porcelain dinnerware set that features stylized roses. The smaller plate has pink and yellow roses while the larger plate has just pink roses. The background is a peach or beige color and the rims are done with heavy gold trim. Notice the mold is very art deco with clean lines and a 6 sided shape. Both sizes show handles on two sides in a reticulated design.
Hallmarked with the M.Z. Austria Czechoslovakia mark tells us that the porcelain blanks were manufactured between 1918-1939. The artist has signed each piece on the front and dated them 1924.
The dinner plate measures just under 11 inches wide from handle to handle and 10 1/4 tall. The bread plate measures 6 3/4 inches wide handle to handle and 6 1/4 inches tall. We did not find a hint of damage. Even the hand painting is intact as well as the gold border.
We cannot express to you how beautiful these are. We hope the pictures capture some of what the artist intended. We have 6 sets of these so the pictures are a representation of each piece. Since these are hand painted each one is not exactly like the other. Wouldn't these make a great cabinet display?
If you are purchasing more than one set, please wait for an invoice as we will package all of your order together and combine the shipping and insurance costs for you.
