An antique porcelain asparagus tray that features violets with hand painted enameling. The pattern is repeated in intervals on the outside of the tray. The sides are curved with the middle section showing a ruffled area. A gold wash on the rim finishes the decoration.
The hallmark of Leonard Vienna Austria tells us that this was manufactured and exported to the U.S. from Austria c. 1908.
Measuring 12 5/8" long and 5.25" at it's widest point we do not find any damage. It is in exquisite antique condition. There is an area on the bottom that is not glazed over. This was to prevent it from slipping on a polished table surface.
