A very fine porcelain coffee pot featuring a dark, chocolate brown background and a Greek portrait scene. The portrait area is surrounded by gold filigree that extends around the rim. You'll see a floral band on both the upper portion of the pot and the lid. The decoration is finished with lavish gold on handle, spout, and finial.
Hallmarked with a blue beehive mark and a decorating studio mark. The beehive we could not positively identify but the decorator's mark was used by the Friedrich Simon studio in Karlovy Vary. The mark tells us that this is Carlsbad Fine Porcelain, made in Czecho-Slovakia and is c. 1920.
Measuring 8 1/2 inches tall we find a repair on the interior lid rim which is hidden when lid is in place. This is an extremely fine piece of Bohemia porcelain.
