An antique Limoges porcelain vanity tray which features hand painted pink cherry blossoms and lush foliage. The flowers are painted against a delicate green background. The artwork was done by a talented early American Victorian period porcelain artist that has initialed on the back.
Hallmarked by Haviland France on the back in green. We would place this right at the turn of the 20th Century for a time period. Since the underside is not glazed, we presume this lovely tray would have been used as a dresser tray or morning tray at one's bedside. We have check our Limoges resource library and have found that this particular tray is a rarely seen Haviland Limoges mold.
Measuring 10 3/4 inches long and 8 5/8 inches wide in the center, we find this to be in wonderful condition without any damage. A perfect gift for the Limoges collector.
