An antique Limoges porcelain tray which features hand painted pink cherry blossoms and lush foliage. The flowers are painted against a delicate green background. The artwork was done by a talented early American Victorian Period porcelain artist that has initialed on the back. We have check our Limoges resource library and have found that this particular tray is a rarely seen Haviland Limoges mold.
Hallmarked by Haviland France on the back in green. We would place this right at the turn of the 20th Century for a time period. Since the underside is not glazed, we presume this lovely tray would have been used as a dresser tray or morning tray at one's bedside.
Measuring 10 3/4 inches long and 8 5/8 inches wide in the center. We find this to be in wonderful condition without any damage. A perfect gift for the Limoges collector.
