An antique porcelain cake plate that features a raised dot pattern over the entire surface. There are hand painted leaves and florals around the interior and rim of plate. The handles are covered with gold. As you see from the pictures, this is a bit deeper than a typical cake plate.
Although unmarked this is an early R.S. Prussia item and is featured in Marple's R.S. Prussia The Formative Years reference guide as plate #13 on page 15 and is dated between 1888-1894.
Measuring 11.25" from handle to handle we find a very small amount of wear to the decoration. There is absolutely no damage to porcelain. A very nice early piece from this well known factory.
