A Victorian scarf or tie stickpin featuring an opal cabochon center stone. Around the stone we see a filigree or open setting in a diamond shape. The pin has an area that is twisted to help hold it in place.
We did not find any manufacturer's markings on this. We would place it c. 1890s for a time period.
Measuring a petite 2" in length we find some of the gold has worn from the head of the pin; more so on the back. A very delicate piece.
