An antique stoneware cereal or oats bowl featuring happy children at play. The center portrait has a boy pulling a train and blowing a horn. We see around the rim are girls and boys with their favorite toys.
The mark on this tells us that this was manufactured in Germany and dates to c. 1910.
Measuring 8 inches in diameter at the base we find a factory blemish which looks as though someone put a fingernail into the green ware by accident before this was fired. We would give this an 9 out of 10 for condition based on its age. There is very little wear to this that we do not believe it was ever used. A charming, charming piece.
