An antique porcelain cake plate or platter featuring lush pink roses and gold trim. The roses are surrounded by greenery that is traced in gold. The trim is has a feathering effect that wraps around the dish.
We find this marked twice; once with the factory name of Zeh Scherzer. The other is a Royal Munich mark which was probably a decorating studio. We also find the artist signature on the front of Gavin. All of this helps us date this lovely plate to the 1890s for a time period.
From handle to handle this measures 11.5" which is a perfect size for cakes, cookies and other confections. We find a bit of rub on the decoration but nothing that is detrimental. Look for its companion piece in our shop.
