Antique clear glass dresser box that features a fancy scrolled pattern on both lid and base. The scrolled areas have remnants of gold that still shine brightly in the sun. This was a souvenir piece that has faint gold lettering on the lid 'Souvenir Auburn, NY'. Most of these would be found in milk glass with the clear glass boxes a bit more uncommon.

Manufactured by the Westmoreland Specialty Company this is their #229-1 mold. It dates to just about the turn of the 20th century, c. 1900.

Measures 3.5" square lid 3.25" square base a bit of gold wear on glass pattern. Except for the expected gold wear, we do not find any damage to this. It is in wonderful antique condition.
