An antique fur clip featuring intaglio rose and daisy under glass. The flowers are hand enameled in shades of pink and yellow. The glass window is held in place with three prongs. The rim shows cut out areas with swirls and daisy with in the mold. When they were painted and sealed from the back like this, they were often called Essex crystals. The metal is a silver tone.
We find a BS in a sun for a hallmark on the back. We would unable to determine who this was. We would place this in the first decade of the 20th Century.
Measuring 1 3/4 inches in diameter we find this to be in fabulous condition. A very pleasing and unusual piece.
