An antique paper box featuring a lovely cameo medallion on the quilted lid. The cameo shows a woman's right profile and small hand. Next to the cameo we see brass diamond insets that match the quilted pattern. The color is a light green.

Marked on the interior of the lid BurkArt, genuine processed household paper products. We can only surmise what was packaged in here. Possibly calling cards. This dates to the 1890s for a time frame.

Measuring just over 10 inches in length and 4 inches high, we find a tear to the front of the lid and a back, top corner showing wear. To be honest we are shocked this has survived at all. A nice piece of history.
