A vintage porcelain cake plate that features a unique hand painted design. There are pink flowers around border and one in the center. The border flowers are integrated border trim showing linked rectangles with interior crosses. This area is then trimmed with raised gold beading. The rim is trimmed in a wood toned brown. The mold has clean lines with cut out areas for handles on two sides.
Hallmarked with a Nippon blue oak leaf and 'hand painted' on the reverse helps us date this piece to 1920.
Measuring just over 9.5" at the widest point, we find just a tiny smidgen of wear to the decoration. There is no damage to porcelain. A nice mix of Art Deco and Victorian decoration.
