An antique silver plate pin box featuring an embossed Art Nouveau decoration. The lid has two hinges and a slight lip to grasp when opening. The interior still has its satin lining in a pale, washed green color.
Hallmarked with Superior Silver Co., quadruple plate on the base. This mark was used by Middletown Plate Co. and is c. 1899.
Measuring 5" long we see wear to the plate which is not surprising. There is wear to the satin lining as you can see in our pictures. This type of vanity item was used everyday so we are shocked that it has any lining left. A nice representation of the late Victorian toilet.
