An antique porcelain cream and sugar featuring a light blue background and hand painted roses. The roses have a surreal quality to them and are done in pink. The handles are painted with gold. The mold shape is simple so the decoration really stands out.
Hallmarked by the Zeh Scherzer factory in Bavaria tells us that these date to the turn of the 20th Century; c. 1900.
The sugar measures 6.25" hand to handle wide and 4.5" tall. The creamer is 5.5" wide and 3.5" tall. There is minimal wear to decoration and not damage. Most likely a cabinet set that did not see service.
