An antique glass center bowl featuring the Reverse Torpedo pattern at the base and a wide scalloped rim. We are calling this a center piece bowl because it measures a larger 11 inches by 9 inches. This particular piece is a bit unusual for this pattern. We have not seen another like it.
In 1892, Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton Glass Company began production of this pattern No.49D with the A crimp rim. It has been known by many names to collectors including Bull's Eye and Diamond Point, Bull's Eye Band, Diamonds and Bull's Eye Band, Pointed Bull's Eye and most well known as Reverse Torpedo.
Except for a bit of light scratching, we are not finding any damage to glass. This will be packaged with care to ensure a safe voyage. You will not be disappointed.
