An antique pattern glass covered compote featuring a beautiful etched leaf pattern on the sides of the dish and lid. The square shape is mimicked at the base which sits on four legs. A pretty finial and center pedestal section finish the design.
This was manufactured by Adams and Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania between 1882-1887 and is also called Post.
Measuring 13.75" tall x 7.5" square we find the bottom piece is warped a bit so the lid does not sit flush. We found a few corners where there are slight flakes which is to be expected from glass this old. Our price does reflect its condition but all in all a fabulous piece!
