An antique porcelain vase showing a lovely center portrait of the Woman in Daisy Crown which is considered a scarce portrait on Prussia porcelain items. The top part of the vase has gold handles at the shoulders and a wonderful scalloped rim with gold detailing at the top. The base has a slightly skirted pedestal. A pearl luster finish, a heavy gold border, and gold enameling that frames the portrait area.
The Erdmann Schlegelmilch E.S. Prussia Royal Saxe Mark #22 we see on the bottom can be referenced in the Collector's Encyclopedia of R.S. Prussia, 2nd Series by Mary Gaston, page 19 and helps us date to c. 1890's.
Measures 9.25" high and 6.25" at widest part with the porcelain to be in fabulous condition. There is slight gold loss on the rim area as seen in our pictures. There are pin size dimples under one of the handles which was created at the time of manufacture. All in all this portrait piece is in wonderful antique condition.
