An antique chocolate cup and saucer set showing hand painted flowers and an elegant curved gold handle. The flowers are mix of colors and extend into the inside of the cup just under the rim. The decoration is finished with lavishly applied gold.
The P. Donath Silesia Porcelain Factory mark of crossed swords and a capital S are seen under the glaze on the bottoms of both pieces. This mark tells us this gorgeous set was manufactured and decorated between 1883-1896.
To top of the rim, the cup measures 2 5/8" in height and the saucer is 4 3/8" in diameter. We do find a tiny bit of age related wear to the gold but no other issues. This is in very fine antique condition.
