"Egyptian set novel of adventure and romance of a young Quaker youth "in the toils of Mohammedan Egypt."
This old work is "The Weavers: A Tale of England and Egypt Fifty Years Ago" by Gilbert Parker and published by Harper & Bros in 1907. This is a first edition with illustrations by Andre Castaigne.
This is app. 7.5”x5” with 532 pages. This has cloth covered hard boards with Egyptian Revival decorations to front cover. This is in very good condition overall with some corner,edge, spine wear and bumping. The hinges are cracked but the binding is tight and all pages intact. There is age toning. There is a book stamp from a travelling church library on inside of cover and put LIBRARY 107 no28 in ink on the blank page. Someone put "Christmas 1907" on the blank page. The book is complete. There are no offensive odors.
