This beautiful antique work is “Rose Leaves” a compilation of poetry and prose all on roses! This was by Fine Arts Publishing Co in 1909. There are 9 full page color plates and 6 partial page color plates. Inside is poetry all rose themed by such famous poets as Alice Carey, Tennyson, Moore, Ben Jonson, Maud, Burns, Scott, Whittier, Herrick, Shakespeare, Bryant and more! These decorative books were called “gift books” as oftentimes they were purchased as gifts for a loved one. This is a fine collector's and display piece!
This book is app. 7inches x 5 inches with 32 pages. This has hardcovers with decorative paper foiled cover. This is in good+ condition overall with some corner,edge, spine wear and bumping. The binding is tight and all pages intact. One poem has a curved red marker notation at the beginning and end of one line. The title page has red marker notations in the publisher’s name as shown. There are no offensive odors. The book is complete.
