This ornate buckle / sash slide is Edwardian to Art Nouveau in era. The metal has a silver finish over a lightweight base metal - looks like a silver plating; however, the piece is unmarked. This has a layered design with the lady with her billowing hair piled high at the top layer and lotus flowers and more swirls below this layer. There is a slide on each end at the back. She is large at app. 3.75inches x 3.25inches. She is detailed from her swirling hair to the lotus blossoms in the surround. The robin-egg blue stones appear to be some kind of plastic. This is in good condition overall with some plating wear and some tarnish. There is plating wear to high points in spots especially to her hair and the beaded portions and swirl edges. The metal peeping through has a coppery hue. This could use a fine cleaning.
