This has a young man drugged and shanghaied. He winds up broke and stranded in Panama in the center of political intrigue amidst the building of the Panama Canal. He's been a millionaire's playboy son and must make good. There is a lot of info on the work going on with the canal and the political problems facing Panama at that time.
This work is app. 7.5”x5”and 402 pages . It has cloth covered hard-boards with paste down illustrated cover. It is in good condition overall with a little corner,edge, spine wear and bumping. There is quite a bit of rubbing to the paste down illustration. There is fading to the spine lettering. The binding is tight, and all pages are intact. There is age toning. There is a gift inscription in pencil and one in ink inside. The book is complete. There are no offensive odors.
