This is a set of 16 antique "Portfolio of Photographs of the World's Fair" published weekly by the Werner Company. These were published from December 11, 1893 to March 26, 1894. Each set is numbered 1-16 and the back of each has what is in the next edition with the exception of number 16 as that was the end of the series. Each has 16 pages of photographs with information on the World's Fair. These photos are of buildings, exhibits, art, ethnic peoples, animals, sculptures and more. Each portfolio is app. 13"x11". Each is complete. These are in good to very good condition overall with a little corner , edge wear, and spine wear. There is some light soiling and fading here and there to some covers. Number 10 has the worst wear with a large tear across the back cover as shown and some small tears at bottom. Number 3 has spine separation about 2/3. Number 8 has an old sticker residue on cover. There is age toning to all. Each is complete.
