This Victorian fiction work is titled "A Mad Love" by Bertha Clay or Charlotte Braeme. This was printed by Donahue circa 1890s. Clay's heroines are of good moral fiber and face a lot of dramatic twists and turns much like EDEN Southworth and Mary J. Holmes work.
This book measures app. 7.5"x5" with 256 pages. It is in good condition overall with some corner, edge, spine wear and bumping. The cloth bound hard covers have soiling and discoloration. The inside has a pencil inscription on the blank page. The binding is tight and all the pages intact. There is age toning/browning to the pages.
