Recalling Mother Moses, this charming New England Township entitled “Chowdertown” evokes the simple pleasures of family, friends, of belonging. It is a limited edition by Charlotte Joan Sternberg, 1986, sold out long ago at the publishers and available only when you can find it on the secondary market. It is #490 of 1000 signed and numbered in pencil by the artist.
Custom gallery framed, triple coordinating matted with a fine oak frame. It is in very fine condition with a sealed conservation back complete with authenticating certification. Artist noted: “This little town is completely a figment of my imagination. I had great fun designing and painting it, creating the streets and alleys, and the people….New England is my home, and I love it: my memory is full of its buildings and trees, hills and streams, and always, the sea.
