By Northwood Glass Co., circa 1898 this beautifully intaglio decorated spooner vase is elegantly lovely. The antique spooners were used for tea times and part of early American pressed glass (EAPG) sets that were so popular in the 19th century. Custard Glass is a mostly opaque to slightly translucent EAPG with a thicker creamy usually highly decorated blank. It came in soft yellow, soft green, opaque blue and even in what was called chocolate custard glass. This custard glass spooner is in soft cream with green and gold hand painted accents. It is in excellent condition, most of the decoration on many found today are very worn so it is really collector worthy. It measures approximately 5" high and 4.5" across. 57
