Titled "Mending Day", this very charming framed advertising print of Sunbonnet Babies is an advertisement for Putnam Dyes. The illustrator is B.L. Corbett. "The Putnam dye industry, now of Quincy, Illinois, was founded in Unionville by E.N. Monroe, J. H. Elson and others as "Monroe Drug Company, 1890" (history reference:Waymaking). The advertising print is framed in a period very pretty wood frame with embossing and gilt detail as pictured. The print and frame are in very good condition, measuring 9" high by 10.5".
